Kevin Holland
Graeme Wilcox was at CHS from 1952 to 1957. He shared a memory of his favorite teacher.
There were several committed teachers at CHS in my time there-1952-1957. But a teacher who I found to be inspiring was Kevin Holland. He seemed to have an emotional commitment to the material he taught and I found the ideas to be mind-expanding. And, for the first time in my years of schooling, he set essays which required us to write about the world as we saw it. I found this to be liberating: to be seen as a student of things rather than to be seen simply as a passive pupil. I’ve been grateful for his interesting and committed teaching.
