To all former students and friends of Coburg High School
   If you were wondering what happened to all those donations of books and money to the School Library.     
A special display of books purchased from your donations was set up in the library to celebrate your generous support
In the fly leaf of each book is an acknowledgement of the donor.     Well done to all those who contributed.

       Thank you and goodbye to Brenda Langmaid
  Heartfelt thanks to Brenda Langmaid, who has worked tirelessly to keep the spirit of Coburg High School alive over the past two decades and more.  
  A former primary school teacher and principal, Brenda brought her formidable skills and energy to our CHS Historical Group as a dedicated Committee Member and key organiser of many activities and reunions,  including the successful 100 Year Centenary Celebration in 2016 at the current school site. This major event attracted around 1200 past CHS students and staff, building on the popular 90th Reunion attended by hundreds of alumni in our old meeting place, the Coburg Town Hall. She was also the instigator and manager of the 95th and 105+1 year celebrations, both held at the new school in 2011 and 2022.
  Brenda's presence around Coburg High School has also been reflected in regularly-curated displays of photos and other memorabilia. Her efforts to connect former students and staff and to develop a strong relationship with the new school have been given unstintingly.
  We are grateful for Brenda's massive contribution to our wonderful school, and wish her well for a quieter life shared between Queensland and Victoria, with lots more time for her beloved golf.
                   We will miss you Brenda 
Name Change           A big thank you to all those who contributed to the debate about the name of our Historical Group.
 No decision has yet been made but we will keep you informed.

Old School site.     We are also in discussion with the new developers of the old Bell St site. We are assured that, if this development goes ahead, the history of the site will be acknowledged appropriately.
