PROMINENT PEOPLE We are very keen to expand our records and acknowledgement of prominent ex students and would gladly receive your nominations or biographies/autobiographies to share this important feature of our school.
An excellent and interesting resource is The Australian Dictionary of Biography. The first 12 of the 27 names which come up are relevant. It captures student and teacher details.
Also enter Coburg High School into TROVE, the National Library of Australia digital newspaper collection.
On the website you will see a list of ex students awarded Australian Honours (AO and OAM) If you have received an award or know of someone please Email us the details. You can check the website for details of their fields of honour. (www.itsanhonour.gov.au) **

MEMBERSHIP FEES.
The listed fees are $10.00 per annum or Life Membership of $100.00. Please give this consideration to preserve the school name and its history and help finance new developments. Your fees and donations are used for the newsletter, website and organizing secure, protective storage for materials and cataloguing to aid access. If you wish to locate family details or donate materials or memorabilia use our Hotmail address or contact committee members to arrange a visit.
MORELAND CITY COUNCIL has provided us with funds from their Community Grants Programs again this year. This grant will be used for development of our web-site and communication with ex-students.
SCHOOL MAGAZINES Digitized copies of The Scribe and Echoes are now available for purchase at $10 per disc plus postage $2.

NEW HIGH SCHOOL FOR COBURG.
Coburg is to have a Junior High School starting with year 7 from 2015. We have been invited to provide input with a place on the Community Consultative Committee set up by the Coburg Senior High School Board.
Several tours have occurred and current enrolment figures are in excess of 170 students. Their website is www.cjhs.vic.gov.au where you can see details of the philosophy of the school and also images of the buildings currently being refurbished.

Planning for our 100th ANNIVERSARY on SUNDAY OCTOBER 23rd 2016 is well underway. Do you want to join in celebrations at the new Coburg school on the Coburg Senior High site? We welcome your ideas for this significant event in our history. Would you help with planning? We need a few representatives from each era of the school e.g. 1940s, 1950s, 1960s etc. Please contact us via our email address listed below.
