NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2016
Past Students and Staff Association (PSASA)
Coburg High School Historical Group, Inc
Newsletter … JANUARY, 2016
Let’s think about our Centenary and be ready for October 23rd2016.
Coburg HS joins an elite group of state schools to celebrate a century of education. Your committee of ex students has helped keep the school alive after the closure of the original site through memorabilia, reunions, newsletters and events. The celebration will focus on the most important elements, stories of old friends, great times and achievements then and now. Come and be part of this unique milestone in your school’s history.
Make a note in your diary to attend the Centenary reunion in 2016. Take the opportunity to see the Time Capsule, old one retrieved, and new created. See the permanent installation of the Honour Board and celebrate your inclusion on this piece of history. View displays of historical items and contribute to personal power point presentations.
Huge numbers attended the 90 year reunion in 2006 so we have taken care to provide more space for parking, registration and for fun conversations and sharing with old friends. Assorted food and drink will be readily available for purchase all afternoon in the grounds.
The New Coburg HS was formed in 2015 with Year 7 students joining the Year 10-12s at Coburg Senior HS, to position the school for another century of quality education. It is a great site for our event with plenty of signage to direct you to the right places.
To enable us to better judge the number of attendees, we intend to make online RSVP available via Trybooking at www.trybooking.com As there will be no charge to attend the reunion, there will be no booking fee. Further details will follow in a later newsletter or check our web-site regularly.
School Open Day at Coburg Senior HS, SUNDAY October 23rd 12.30 - 5.30pm. Formal Welcome at 2.30pm
(The School is behind McDonald Reserve, off Bell Street)
CHS School History 1916 – 2016. A Professional Documentation of 100 years. Price to be advised
